Of the countless number of political issues that appear in newspapers from coast to coast, little else holds as steadfast a place in the headlines as the War in Iraq. Republicans might tell you that if we pull out now, we'll be forfeiting important gains towards peace that will soon be realized. On the other side of the same coin, a Democrat would probably say that America can do little good by staying the course, and we owe it to our soldiers in Iraq to implement a concrete plan for rapid troop reductions.
