With all of these vitally important problems to solve, Generation Y simply cannot afford to be complacent. Yet, in 2004, only a measly 51 percent of citizens aged 18 to 29 decided to cast their votes in the presidential election. Given statistics like this, one is left to wonder, are the youth of today going to rise to meet and conquer the challenges of tomorrow?

On Ydoit.org you can create a profile, search for other users with similar interests, participate in various blogs and discussion boards, and find ways to get involved. One of the first and best ways to become involved is to register to vote. Through using Ydoit.org’s cutting edge SMS (text messaging) technology, Generation Y can “text in” and register to vote.
The problems facing our generation—Generation Y—are not about to magically disappear. Only through ambitious leaders, sustained dialogue, and an informed and active citizenry will these issues receive the attention they desperately require. So, you may still be asking yourself, Y do it? You can find the answer to this question, and much more, within the confines of Ydoit.org. But ultimately, change matters, and without the leadership and effort of Generation Y, there will be no change.
